Privacy, in plain words
Kultr is an invite-only alpha run by Raphael Pinto, who is responsible for your data (the “data controller”). Questions or requests: ask Raphael directly.
What is stored
- Your email address and name from Google, to sign you in.
- The scores you give films, games and books, with the date you gave them.
Your ratings are private: nobody else using Kultr can see them.
Where it is stored
In a Supabase database hosted in Paris, France. The site itself runs on Vercel, also in Paris.
Automated suggestions
Recommendations are worked out automatically from your ratings. On the Suggest page, when AI ranking is switched on for your account, a summary of your taste and your answers to the questions are sent to OpenAI (in the United States) to choose and explain the final picks. OpenAI receives no name, email or account id — only the taste summary, your answers and the candidate titles — and does not use it to train its models. You can use Kultr fully without the AI ranking.
Leaving
On the Account page you can download all your ratings, and delete your account. Deleting it removes your account and every rating immediately and permanently.
